Presentation

An intimate haven for diving enthusiasts

Once at the heart of the colonial and spice trade route, Ambon, a small island of approximately 360 square kilometers, was occupied by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later by the Dutch, who established it as the main trading post for the Dutch East India Company.

Today, the main city, named after the island itself, also known as Amboine, is the capital of the Moluccas province, which encompasses more than 600 islands.

Located near the village of Seilale, Ambon Dive Resort is one of the few intimate hotels on the island, offering 8 comfortable and spacious rooms, a warm and friendly restaurant, and a meticulously designed dive center run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. In harmony with lush nature, you will discover the richness of muck dives and the vastness of the surrounding drop-offs and reefs.

When to visit and dive Ambon

One of the top 5 destinations in the world.

Due to its recent history, Ambon has only recently opened up to tourism. It is significantly less well-known than its counterpart Lembeh, indeed, it is undoubtedly one of the top 5 destinations in the world to encounter critters.

Some species are endemic, such as the psychedelic frogfish and the Ambon scorpionfish… as the name suggests it!
